Brotherly Love

Brotherly Love

1 John 4:20
If someone says, “I love Yah,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love Yah whom he has not seen?

The Imperative of Love

1 John 3:10-12

 10 In this the children of Yah and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of Yah, nor is he who does not love his brother. 11 For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another, 12 not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother’s righteous.

1 Thessalonians 4:9

But concerning brotherly love you have no need that I should write to you, for you yourselves are taught by Yah to love one another;

John 13:34-35

 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Matthew 25:40

40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

1 Corinthians 13:4

4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;

Galatians 5:22-23

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

1 Peter 1:22

The Enduring Word

 22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,

Deuteronomy 10:12-13

The Essence of the Law

 12 “And now, Israel, what does the The Most High your God require of you, but to fear The Most High your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the The Most High your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 13 and to keep the commandments of The Most High and His statutes which I command you today for your good?

1 Peter 2:1-5

Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, 2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, 3 if indeed you have tasted that The Most High is gracious.

The Chosen Stone and His Chosen People

4 Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by Yah and precious, 5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to Yah through Yahushua Messiah.

1 Peter 3:8-12

Called to Blessing
8 Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; 9 not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.

10 For “He who would love life And see good days,
Let him refrain his tongue from evil,
And his lips from speaking deceit.
11 Let him turn away from evil and do good;
Let him seek peace and pursue it.
12 For the eyes of The Most High are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their prayers;
But the face of the The Most High is against those who do evil.”
